"5 How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, 6 the one who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who remains forever faithful…"
Ps 146:5-6

Ps 146:5-6

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

breanna-lynn:

Nothing replaces closeness with Jesus. Everything your heart needs comes from knowing Him. If I can encourage you to do anything, pursue Him. Spend time every day with Him, no matter how busy life gets, because life overflows out of this place with Him. It doesn’t take away from anything else- it adds to it. You’ll be able to give and pour into others better when you are being filled up by God. Bob Sorge wrote, “…there seem to be relatively few believers whose secret life with God is so vibrantly life-giving that it kindles a contagious desire in others to follow their example.” Yet imagine the impact one person full of the Holy Spirit and His life and joy can have on others. Our time alone with God is about a lot more than just you and Him. It’s going to affect everyone around you. Spend time with Him. Things start happening in more than just your heart; it will start changing your life and reaching people in ways they need; you might be amazed what God will do when you just devote yourself to staying close to His heart daily. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Our Prince [Jesus Christ] does not approach us with a “temporary relationship” mentality. He does not flirt with us, spend a little time with us to see how compatible we are, try is out for a weekend, and then dump us on Monday morning. He does not stick with us for five or ten years, them decide the relationship has gotten stale and leave us for someone else. His love is unconditional. It is not based on our performance. It is not based on our perfection. It is not based on fleeting emotion or feeling. It is based on His choice, His decision to be completely faithful to us no matter what - even at the expense of His blood.
