The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.

Proverbs 21:1

Thinking about this verse in light of Exodus 2:1-10.

God is the God of every circumstance. He is completely in control of every detail of our lives. I am in awe of how He worked in the heart of Pharaoh’s daughter. She saw baby Moses in the basket crying and felt sorry for him. She defied Pharaoh’s orders to throw all the Hebrew baby boys into the Nile, and she decided to adopt Moses as her own son.

I just finished reading this woman’s book a few weeks ago and I was really encouraged by it. It was amazing to read about how God patiently and graciously worked in her life to restore her marriage. If you are interested in reading it, go check it out on amazon! It’s called In His Way, by Rebecca A. Duvall. :)

The ‘I love you’ texts.
You would look down and see those words, and something in your heart moved. You see that and know they were thinking of you specially with joy in their heart, felt a deep love for you, and had to tell you. Every day. Always, always there. Then, suddenly…you find yourself left in silence.
It’s gone. Not only the reminder, but that love.
Are you still loved?
Yes. A thousand times over, yes. Listen to me: you are loved.
There is a constant, unchanging love that will never leave you. This love does not abandon, and this love is not a lie.
There is someone who longs for you to hear how much He loves you.
His name is Jesus. In the silence, He is present. He feels the pain in your heart. He knows the hurt. He hears the questions. Let Him comfort you. Let Him soothes all fears away as He whispers:
“I love you, I love you, I love you.”
Hear the love that will never be silent. He is always speaking it to you. He will never stop.
He loved you first. He loves you now. He will love you always. He will love you best.

I can’t stress how important it is to be into your Bible. Read it daily. Hunger and thirst for His word. You should be spending more time in His word than on tumblr reading nice christian quotes and poems.

Never Forget

I will never forget 9/11. I will never forget the lives lost. I will never forget the men that emerged heroes from tragedy. I will never forget the brokenness. I will never forget that America has come back stronger. 9/11 changed history. America took something that was intended to be marked in…
